Well, VT was picked 17th AP and 15th USA Today in the preseason and finished 21st and 19th. Also was picked to win the Coastal and play conference favorite Clemson for the title. They pretty much lived up to preseason expectations.

We wouldnt be thrilled to be 25th. It is however better than the way this season turned out. Tenn fans like most SEC fans want to win THE conference, and be in the NC talk. Your darn right I'd take 25th and a bowl now. But not thrilled, TN will be thrilled the next time we win the SEC. Winning the SEC means you've beat the best, just ask Ohio State.

Again, what does that have to do with the topic or who you replied to? Spuds isn't a UT fan, he's the furthest thing from that. Does everything in the little fans of the team in Blacksburg have to be compared to the team on the other end of 81 who has tradition and championships that matter? It's some kind of weird, sick, perverted, obsession.

We all know that the Mighty Hokies are BCS bound due ONLY to conference tie-ins. Where did the other ACC division champ end up? Vandy vs. BC in the Music City Bowl. Oh, that tough ACC.

If you hadn't noticed the other bowl tie ins were smart enough to pick teams that would bring fans for fear of BC losing in the title game and them having to accomodate their 3,000 fans.

And the original post had nothing to do with bashing VT. It was merely a statement on what the rest of the country notices. Nobody shows up for that game. There's no problem with the SEC or the Big 12 filling the host sites stadiums.

Sorry for not really knowing that the thread had gotten derailed too. Myself like the rest of America and apparently ACC fans could care less about ACC football. I just clicked the link to make the thread show that it had been read. The only thing that got my attention was the mention of an SEC team.
